Team Pragathi Pays Tribute to Mother Teresa

“Happiness is not so much in having as sharing.
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

Dear Parent,

Team Pragathi is glad to announce ‘The Joy Of Giving Fortnight’ from 26/08/15 to 08/09/15 to commemorate the life of Mother Teresa who was born on 26th August, 1910 and died on 5th September,1997.

During this period children are encouraged to bring old clothes, old toys, old story books (which are in good condition for someone else to use) to hand over to the less fortunate at various orphanages, old-age homes and for the destitute. Remember parents, children worked on a ‘Clutter-Free Home’ Life skills module? All the old clothes, toys etc which were sorted for “Give Away” can be used now for donation. This is NOT compulsory. Only the interested may donate.

Special assembly was conducted on Mother Teresa for the students of VI to X today. Also a brief chronology of notable events in Mother Teresa's life, a series of memorable photos of her life and work through a Photo Essay, excerpts of her interviews and some of her quotes will be presented in the class during this fortnight.

Visits to orphanages, old-age homes and near-by slums are in the pipeline to personally handover the stock to the needy.
Student volunteers along with a committee of teachers has been set-up to collect and sort out the goods. Parents and children are instructed to hand over the stuff according to the below given dates to the respective class teachers who in turn will hand over the same to the In charges concerned.
